ISASF Ph. D. Award
Any student having defended a Ph.D. thesis before December 31, 2025 (defense must have occurred in 2025) is invited to apply for the Ph.D. Award, granted by the International Society for the Advancement of Supercritical Fluids , by submitting his/her work to the ISASF jury.
The Award will consist of a grant of 1000 euros. It will be awarded during the 21th European Meeting on Supercritical Fluids (EMSF 2026) that will be held in TU Clausthal, Germany, June 14 -17, 2026.
The subject of the thesis must be closely related to the practice and/or theory of supercritical fluids (at least half of the work must be directly applicable to supercritical fluids ).
How to apply ?
A file in English must be submitted to the Society contact (contact@isasf.net) by
April 30 , 2026.
It must include:
• Dissertation title
• A detailed abstract (no more than 2 pages)
• Highlights of the Ph.D. work
• The list of the most relevant publications linked to the Ph.D. work, already published or in press
• Laboratory and supervisor names and address
• Environment description: number of students and supervisors dealing with supercritical fluids in the team where the work was done
• Duration of the work (number of months) and date of defense
• Applicant address
Prof. Erdogan Kiran Graduate Student Support
This award will be given by Prof. Erdogan Kiran to one graduate student to attend the 21th European Meeting on Supercritical Fluids (EMSF 2026) in TU Clausthal, Germany during June 14 -17 , 2024.
The winner will be announced at the conference during the award ceremony.
Amount : 480 euros to cover the registration cost for the conference.
Selection criteria: Motivation to attend the conference.

Journée FSC Ph. D. Award
Following the success of the 3rd Journee FSC PCA held in November 2024, the organizers (ISASF, ISIPCA, IFS) would like to give a specific award to a young researcher (Ph Student or Post-Doc) who is working in the field of perfumes, aromas, cosmetics, their ingredients or in the processes of extraction, chromatography and/or particle generation using plant- or algae-based biomass or their essential oils.
The award will consist of 1000 euros (covering registration and part of travel costs) and the recipient is to deliver a poster at the EMSF 2026 conference.
It will be awarded during the 21st European Meeting on Supercritical Fluids (EMSF 2026) that will be held in TU Clausthal, Germany during June 14 -17, 2026.
The subject must be closely related to the practice and/or fundamentals of supercritical fluids (at least half of the work must be directly applicable to supercritical fluids).
How to apply?
A file in English must be submitted to the ISASF contact (contact@isasf.net) by April 30, 2026. It must include:
a short resume including the list of the most relevant publications: scientific article, poster and oral communications.
a 2-page essay (max) highlighting the following:
- Why supercritical fluids have been chosen?
- What is the knowledge built thanks to the project?
- What is the level of TRL reached for the project?
- What are the perspectives of development?
Best Oral Communication award
This award is given to encourage young researchers.
All post-doc, masters and PhD-students who present an oral communication can apply for this award.
In this award, the scientific content and the quality of the presentation are evaluated.
Jerry King - Best Poster award
This award is given to encourage young researchers.
